Respiration: RSG2, DC Amplifier |
|||||
The RSP Respiration amplifier is used with RSG2 respiration strain gauge detects minor changes in tension as the chest expands and contracts with breathing. It may be positioned outside of clothing and is held by an adjustable velcro strap. The gauge is robust and may be used in adverse conditions (e.g. sleep). It is rumoured even to have been up in the space shuttle! The PSYLAB analysis software WAVE function may be used to evaluate each respiration cycle and to count cycles for estimation of respiration rate in given time periods. When designing the experiment, it must be taken into account that respiration is disrupted if the subject speaks. |
